Accommodation in Glasgow

Hello,
I had an offer for an LLM in the Glasgow University and it's about time I found a place to stay...
Friends of mine told me that the Unite Accommodation is very good, but I am still waiting for the University to take a look at my application for a University Accommodation!!
I would be grateful if someone could help me or give me some advice about the accommodation issue, for example whether I should stay near the University or stay near the centre of the city!!

hey you will have a great time in Glasgow. everybody at the school of law is wonderful and helpful. I'm about to finish the LLM and I miss it already.
As for accommodation until you are offered a place in the halls. I would advice you to look for a flat or a room at the west end near the university as you won't have to take the subway every day to uni , that's 1.20 x2 for no reason, the city centre is fun but crowded plus the majority of your classmate will be staying somewhere in the west end. try hillhead, partick , great western road and the area near kelvingrove park.

My advice, to share a flat near the University, you can look at advertisements either at gumtree.com (flatshare only) or src.gla.ac.uk, here students looking for flatmates post ads. Or if you want to live alone, the best option is Unite, as the rooms are bigger, it is very close to the University 3-5 minutes of walking, one Gibson street only, whereas University accommodations are quite far about 20-30 minutes of walking and rooms are extremely small, not speaking of bathrooms. Any other question email to jahmedov@gmail.com
