Getting offers from the both universities, I sincerely want to know which one is better. I expect everyone's opinion in different aspects. Thanks~

It's depressing...its hell lol...rains way too much!!!
Liverpool isn't any better...and it is a rough place. Between the two I would def take Aberdeen. Seems like a nicer and safer place.
Don't go to Liverpool!!! lol

Hi Summerlp. I've never been to Aberdeen, but I have a acquaintance who lives there. She told me that it can get pretty cold in the winter, with lots of snow. However, Aberdeen is known to be Scotland's sunniest city (I've read an article about this somewhere). So, despite of the cold, I think it's sunny most of the time. Given this scenario, in my opinion, I don't think the weather is really that bad (I like the cold)... Now as regards university reputation, I think Aberdeen is miles ahead of Liverpool. I know some people in the UK and they all tell me that Aberdeen is a top law school. But I have to admit it's not much popular outside the UK. In my country, I don't know anyone who studied there (don't know of anybody from Liverpool either)... but I'll apply to Aberdeen anyway, beacuse I'm looking for a university that's well know in the UK! Comparing to Liverpool, I think that Aberdeen is a better choice, in both national and international levels. And I think this rationale applies regardless of the specialty you're seeking. Hope this helps.

Not referring to weather, but to my personal experience concerning organization and the way I was treated by the Liverpool I would never ever go there. Even if they would be paying me for attending their programme. Don't know about their merits and I don't care.

Study an LLM has also the aim of enjoying the place you go to! Meeting people, be able to go out and be in a nice and safe place. Liverpool is not nice nor safe and gets very rough!
Aberdeen on the other hand is, according to other posts and experiences, a nice place, beautiful and very historical. Besided that, the Law school has a great reputation abroad!
For heavens sake, don't go to Liverpool!

I absolutely disagree with Pedrinus. Liverpool is a very lively city, European Capital of Culture 2008 with loads of things to do. CUlture of music, of football. The University of Liverpool has got a fair 2010 ranking, below Aberdeen though. In addition, the environment of study at the Uni of Liverpool is just excellent. The library is amazing, everybody enjoys is own session on brand new computers. There are loads of books and the staff is very helpful. With regards to the LLM you want to follow, I think that it depends on the topic you are interested ni. For having recently been a student in Liverpool, I can tell that their LLM in European law and in International Business Law are well-reputated.

I am not talking about the Uni itself. It is a red brick University meaning therefore that it is a good school!
The city itself is not appealing to me but then again there are places for every taste!
I don't doubt about the quality of education there as I know a few handfull of people that went there for studies!
