Does anyone know whether UCL and KCL demand rigidly a TOEFL-Score of 109? Or is it possible that you get an unconditional offer with a score of 105-108? Is it possible to negotiate? In my opinion a score of 109 is rather difficult to obtain and the majority of foreign students won't obtain that score. Any expericences?

Hi! I do not know about those universities (i did not apply to any of them), but I know that in QMU Students with 6.0, 6.5 or 7.0 IELTS (and equivalent TOEFL scores) are required to attend Queen Mary's Academic Skills for Law Programme, which is in-sessional and free to QM students .

Maybe you will find your answer in those university websites, do some searches with different key words, or just send them an e-mail, I always get a reply when I send one.
Good luck
;)

Dont worry dude. i have written both, with an 8 in ielts and 117/120 in the iBT.
And judging from the way you've written above, 109 should be a piece of cake for you.

Hi, I just received Condi Offer from KCL for LLM Program. As you may be aware that they require IELTS of 7.5 with minimum 7 in writing. I got 7 overall and 6 in writing. Other than just re-sit at the IELTS test, will KCL accept my current score and provide me with the english course like in QMU? if that so, is it free of charge?
Thanks
Thanks

I need an overall score of 7 in the IELTS......is it hard to get? I'm panamanian and my english level is an intermediate-advance one. I feel very stressful because I really want to apply for the 2008-2009 academic year.

Dont think it should be too much of a problem. Provided you practice in advance. be especially careful in the listening section, dont let the mind drift.
as for reading comprehension, what i did wasnt half as bad as toefl (some vague stuff about rock formations). shouldnt be a prob. and besides, if youre qualified as an applicant and say the right stuff, most univs are willin to let you work on your english
