Do I need to take the toefl again if I have 97 instead of 100? Do you think that is it absolutly necessary to have at least 100?

Hi lisa000,
As it has been said before on this website, a near 100 points test is usually not an impediment for admission. It may, however, decrease marginally your chances to get admitted in some schools if your other credentials are not good enough.

We all don't know how this pre-selection works... Then again, if you have come that close I would take it again just to make sure. If only two universities you apply to take the TOEFL test score as a hard limit, the "wasted" application fee already equals out the fee for a new TOEFL test.
