Hi Everyone!!!
Can anybody tell me if the minimum requirement of 100 in the TOEFL IBT in order to get admitted in universities such as Harvard, Yale, Columbia, etc, is mandatory
I have recently retaken the TOEFL ibt exam and this time I got an 88. I was wondering if this SCORE is useful to apply for an LLM in certain universities, such as Harvard, Yale, Fordham or Columbia, even if the minimum score they ask is 100?
Thanks

Hello divadna!
I'm not sure -since I haven't applied to those universities- but I guess that if they ask for a score of 100 in the TOEFL, it is a requirement for the admission, so an 88 wouldn't be enough. Besides, they require that score in order to assure a very good knowlodge of english language, and an 88 is not that high enough to prove that you are an almost native speaker.
If I were you I would prepare even more and present the TOEFL again before applying...

I recently took the IBT, couple of months ago. I got a score of 104 but I am still in High School. I will be looking to apply for a school in England next year. I heard that you need 110 to get in to a Law School, plus this score only lasts 2 years. Any advice?
P.S
I study in The United States, but I am from Denmark.

i think that if you study high school in the US (or any english speaking country) you don't need to present the TOEFL since you have already pursued studies in english, but you should check this out in the school you are applying to!
