NYU TOEFL requirements

Hi guys.

I know that this is a question that has been answered several times but I would like to hear a more up to date perspective on the following matter: Is it actually possible to be admitted in the NYU LLM with an overall TOEFL Score 100+ but with a lower subscore (25 instead of 26) in the listening section?

In that case, would it be possible to be considered for merit-based scholarships?

Thanks in advance.

Hey!
I don’t know the exact answer as only the admissions committee would be able to tell you, but from what I’ve read 1 point difference does not matter that much. I think especially if your application is strong in other areas. For the merit-based scholarships I believe they mostly look at academic achievements and/or work experience.
Good luck with your application!

I'm in the same situation more or less, I scored 102/120, but 25 instead of 26 in the listening section. Btw, I know at least one candidate who some years ago obtained the Scholarship with 99/120, but NYU requested him to take a specific course before the beginning of the academic year.

Hi everyone,

is there someone who retook the TOEFL exam after the application deadline? I scored 90+ but not 100+ and plan to retake it in February - but I am not sure if they accept my new scores.

Thanks in advance
