Hey guys, I have a serious doubt that needs clarifying.
KCL Law, as you know, demands a total minimum score of 100 in the TOEFL IBT, with a minimum of 24 in each skill. However, I got 30 on reading and listening, 28 on writing and a 23 on speaking.
When I first sent my scores (not the official certificate), one of the admission officers said these exact words: "Thank you for your message and attachment. Please submit a scanned copy of your original TOEFL certificate. We will be able to accept these scores."
One month later, I got nervous about that and asked again if those scores would be acceptable. To my utter surprise, another admissions officer said simply: "Our minimum entry requirement for the TOEFL is 24 in each skill."
When I pointed out the contradiction, the admissions officer who had answered me previously said they are unable to confirm if they can accept my scores until they see the official certificate!
So I ask of you: do you think these scores will be accepted? Should I be worried? Is KCL Law usually flexible when it comes to minimum scores?
Thank you for your time!

Hi gabrielcdantas, this story is not new for me ..I got the same answer with my TOEFL scores. Although I got more than the overall score that they required, I got 23 in speaking too, so when I asked them if they will be able to accept my scores, Ruth Silverstone form the Admissions Office sent me an email saying that the minimum entry requirement is 24 in each skill!!!! I was very disappointing. Finally, I decide not to go to KCL for other reasons but I think that it would be very risky if you don´t send them what they want, so maybe you could pay for an extra certificate from ets and send it to them. good luck

Hi , I am in the same situation and I hope that they are not going to make us much problem just because of one point in the speaking part.
Please let me know if you have some news . Of course I will do the small things.
Best regards

Have KCL's issued your CAS?
I guess the only problem is that KCL must prove to UKBA (beofre issuing the CAS) that the student met the English language minimum requirements and, if I'm not wrong, a minimum of 24 speaking is requested by UKBA... Check this on Tier 4 Guidance.

I don't know if this would be the problem, since other schools demand lower scores. QMUL, for instance, requires a minimum of only 19 in each skill (except for writing, in which they demand a minimum of 27).
