results of the ielts were announced and although I succeded an overall score 7.5 (half a point more than required-7-) i did not managed the minimum score at writing, i only got 6.5(required 7). Is there any chance KCL accepts it or they are absolute with the minimum in each part?Any previous similar experience?

Hi Kiriaki,
I think they are quite strict with the language requirement at King's. With some additional preparation, you'll definitely obtain a score of 7.0. Try to buy/borrow a book with tips and tricks for the IELTS test. Good luck!

Don't want to take any hopes away from you, but the same happened to my fiancee and they simply said no. I think you're going to have to re-sit the exam... sorry!

Taking the TOEFL exam instead of IELTS could be another option. I heard that the minimum score on the written part is easier to obtain...

hi,
exactly the same thing with the same points happened to me last year, and first i got a conditional offer then they told me that i need to join the english course, just to try my chance i emailed them (i dont know this year but last year 7.5 overall and 6.5 from writing was enough for UCL)and told that if u do not accept me unconditionally i have to choose UCL, at the end surprisingly they accepted it and gave me immunity...
try to do the same it may work...
