So I am currently in a bit of a situation. At the moment I am studying the LLB law degree in England. However I would like to apply to Harvard or Yale afterwards for the JD degree. I understand that I would qualify for the LLM degree (as I am getting a first degree in law) but a JD is so much better for employment in the U.S. Would it be silly to get an LLB degree and then to get a JD degree from an American law school?
I have the chance to change my course right now, to something like sociology, but it would be too risky in case I don't go to the US in the end.
Is getting 2 law degrees a waste of time?
