Hi I am an Indian Lawyer [completed my ug in Law]. Can you tell me what I need to do in case I want to practise in the UK?

I f I was not mistaken, you have no need to do a full-course LLB in the UK again, but you need to pass through the following stages:

1) One-year Graduate Diploma in Law or its equivalent (e.g., a two-year Graduate-entry LLB)

2) One-year Legal Practice Course (if you want to become a solicitor) or one-year Bar Professional Training Course (if you want to become a barrister)

3) Training/pupillage

To begin with, you may like to consult the City Law School website; having for quite sometime served as the Inns of Court Law School, City fully offers all these training courses.

If you already have some experience in India, doing the QLTR may be quicker and easier. The examinations are held in India, Hong Kong, Sydney and London.
