Hello,
Can anyone shed advice on how to qualify for the NY bar exam with foreign education, specifically a foreign JD like the Melbourne Law JD?
I understand that if you are from a common law country and have 3yrs law education, you can qualify (without getting a US LLM, which seems to be necessary for most civil law or otherwise).
I have read the Rules here http://www.nybarexam.org/Rules/Rules.htm#520.6.
Can someone please explain SPECIFICALLY what I must submit to show qualification?
Is it a letter from Melbourne Law JD program? Do you need a letter from the government accreditation body?
Any help from former Melbourne JD or other foreign JDs that have qualified without an LLM is greatly appreciated.

Don't forget there is a new 50 hour pro bono requirement to be admitted to the bar.
