Hi,
This is my first post although I am following the forum for quite a long time! This is really helpful forum for the students.
Let me introduce myself. I am Mika from India.(Age 37)
I have passed Master in Mech Engg in 1996 and working in CAD/CAM industry ( software developent). I was interested in law and admitted for LLB in 2009 and will be passing out in 2012. Last year I did PG Diploma in patents from nalsar.
With my Master degree in Mech Engg and 14 Yrs exp in CAD software developemt and diploma in patent and now degree in LLB, I would like to take my career in different route. It could be patent or may be in coroporate, business laws.
Please advice me what should I do in future?
If I do LLM in Canada, Aus or NZ what is the job guarantee?
I am not restrcted to patents only. I can opt any field of Law which can put me in job in that country.
Back home,I can search job in patent in India iteself but I am interested in doing LLM from foreign university.
I still have 6-8 months for passing for LLB, but I may have to prepare for TOEFL or IELTS for admission.
In many forums, I have seen responces for LLM is not much encouraging ( I mean to say, foreign students finds difficult to get job since JD is not from the same country)
Please advice.
Thanks
Mika
