Is there a typical length/word limit for motivation letters? The guidelines for the course I'm applying to doesn't specify. My first draft is nearly 1500 words and I'm worried this is too long.
Thanks,

Thanks,
They call it a motivation letter, but I don't think it's any different from a personal statement. Mine is currently about 2 1/2 pages at the moment, so that sounds about right.

Any idea how to end the letter? I don't really want anything as cheesy as "thanks for reading".

It should not be too long or short. 500 words would be standard, according to expert suggestion.
