I am an experienced Canadian lawyer. I want to work in China, not necessarily as a practising lawyer, and at least until I started reading a lot of blogs, assumed that I would be much more marketable there with an LLM. I thought it would look impressive on my resume and give me some specialized knowlege in a more sought after field. What is cyberspace's opinion?
LLM: is it worth it? (again)

Well,I'm a lawyer in private practice in Nigeria as well.Over here people love qualifications.I think an LLM is only necessary if you have a specific area of interest or field in which you want to specialise, have expertise and carve a niche for yourself. If not its pointless, you can get an LLM and still not be any different from any other lawyer. This is my sincere opinion.Goodluck!
