LLM in the US or Mexico?

I am trying to figure out what is more convenient. I am soon graduating with a Bachelor's Degree from the US; however, hoping to save me from going to Law School for 3 years & then a 1 year LLM program, I was wondering if maybe I can go straight to a LLM program in Mexico - and since it's an International Degree - could I practice law in the US and Mexico? Sounds wrong, but it might be possible, right? Mexico offers the Masters in International Law to those who graduated with a "Licenciatura" or Bacherlor's!

I cannot speak for Mexico, but in the U.S. most states require that you have a J.D. from a law school accredited by the American Bar Association before you can even take a bar exam. So a law degree from another country will definitely NOT allow you to practice law in the U.S.

A few states will allow foreign attorneys, who are admitted to practice law in their country, to take the bar exam after completing a US LLM. So even if you did do an LLM in Mexico and were able to practice law there, you would still have to complete an LLM in the U.S. to be able to sit for the bar exam. Most foreign lawyers that the NY bar exam, more information foreign attorney requirements can be found here:

Could you please let me know, which law schools in Mexico offer an LLM?
