LLM in Arbitration Law: Letter of Recommendation

Mkrishna04

Hi, would a letter of recommendation from a professional with whom I have worked with closely would be helpful or not, considering the fact that the professional has no internet presence?

Any kind of helpful opinion is invited. Thank you

Generally, not having an internet presence is not a dealbreaker.

Honestly it depends on what the LLM program's application requirements are. Some schools only want letters of recommendation from faculty members you've worked under, or previous supervisors. Others are more flexible and may accept a letter from somebody you've worked closely with.

Which program(s) are you applying to?

Thank you. I am planning to apply for masters in International Commercial Arbitration specifically at MIDS Geneva. I have a professional experience 2.5 years as of today and that is why a professional recommendation is preferred. The professional who is more than willing to give me a letter of recommendation is not a known person on the internet.

I think as long as information (as a sort of proof) about their position and their role can be provided, then I don't think internet presence or the lack thereof should be the be-all-end-all.
