I want to apply for a College in the UK to get a LLM-Degree. At how many Universities did you all apply?

If you apply for more than a few, isn´t it difficult to get all the required academic references since most of the Universities need them in a sealed envelope with a stamp of the University?

Yeah, the references were a problem for me too as I was kinda embarassed to ask my good old professor to write me that much letters, and he even wrote them differently for each uni!! He did not complain though. My other referees just used the same letter for every uni so that was easy.

Your referees will understand that you NEED to apply at several unis, just tell them to use the same letter and only to change the adresses. Well, most U.K. unis want the referee to fill out their special form which sucks big time.

I applied at 6 unis btw, and I think that number is ok. Just prepare all the envelopes with adresses and stuff and your referees will be happy.

And don´t forget to bring them something as a thank you! As it was Christmas back then I gave my professor a TON of yummy gingerbread for him and his staff and nice bottles of wine for him and his secretary who had to type all the shit. Haha You know, alcohol always does it.
