I would like to recommend all the LL.M. applicants from India, who want to come to U.S. that it is advisable to attend the LL.M. programs in states which allow Foreign Attorneys to write the bar exam, notably California and New York.New York state is a better option. The prospects of career opportunities increase, if you pass the bar exam.

I from India and I have recently completed my LLB from a reputed Indian University. I also have three years of relevant work experience. I am extremely interested to apply for my LLM at the Boston University School of Law. However, I am not very clear about the Personal Statement which the application demands. What exactly construes a successful Personal Statement to ensure admission? I would be grateful if you could give me some advice...
Thank you,
Ananya

In simple words, your personal statement must contain "YOUR PAST,PRESENT & FUTURE" and "WHAT YOU CAN GIVE/ADD TO THE LAW SCHOOL and HOW YOU ARE GOING TO UTILIZE THE LAW SCHOOL FOR YOUR CAREER DREAMS"
