Living in Geneva/ Living in London

ErgaOmnes

Hi guys! I have an offer to study in Geneva, at the Graduate Institute. However I also hold an offer from LSE. Both schools are great, I know. The problem is that in Geneva I will have to stay for at least 2 years, while in London the program is over 10 months. The main factor is, in this regard, the city. Do you guys think that Geneva could be better for a student than London? I've heard that Geneva can be quiet boring, on the other hand London seems to be more expensive than Geneva. Any thoughts?

Geneva is about 10-20% more expensive than London. A pint of beer is about 10 CHF (£7,30) to give you an example. So I'd go for LSE if money is an issue.

Indeed, but you must also take into account how many International Organisations are in Geneva...

That is true, Geneva is a fantastic place to be if you are into public international law. However, if student life and money is an issue, London still has the upper hand.

I agree with you. Geneva may be less cosmopolitan than London, but that doesn't mean it is less exciting, particularly if you are interested in PIL.
