Hi, I just received a conditional acceptance for the European and International Business Law programme.
From India, I gather. Planning to go? Anywhere else you applied?

I have been admitted to European and International Business Law at Leiden and LLM Finance at ILF Germany....any suggestions as to which one is better in terms of job opportunity and reputation?

Yes I totally agree with you ,it is the course content which matters.Leiden has quite a reputation but the courses are predominantly relating to EU Law,whereas ILF has more of an international flavour to it.Even I spoke to one of the alumni at Leiden,he has highly recommended the course.Anyways all the best for Tilburg!

Hi! It's great reading the discussion above, it's very interesting. I too have been offered a place in EIBL at Leiden University. Is anyone enrolling for the year?

I just received a conditional acceptance or the European and International Business Law programme.(send my original transcripts to Admissions Office) but I´m not sure about the next steps to follow.
Do I have to wait for a final acceptance to pay the tuittion fee?
And does anyone know which is the deadline for paying?
Thanks!

Dear Maluzlo,
Congratulations with your conditional acceptance! Right now the only thing to keep in mind is meeting the conditions that you should meet in order to be accepted unconditionally as soon as possible and accepting the conditional offer you received. Invoices for tuition are usually sent during the summer. Students also have the possibility of paying in installments.
Kind regards,
Anette

Hi guys !
I was wondering if any of you has been accepted in the European and International Business Law LLM in Leiden ? or even any other LLM.
It would be the perfect occasion to get to know each other and share our tips about living in Leiden !
Personally, I have never studied to the Netherland. However, the academic excellence and quality of living highly encouraged me to apply :-)
Hi Jadouya, have you asked the University to help with accommodation in your acceptance and did you have to submit the fees for the course?
Hi there !
Yes, after reading a lot about Leiden as well as students' advices, I thought it was better to go through with the University accommodation service, as it really seems complicated to find a room (at least, if you're new in the Netherlands). I didn't submit the fee for the course yet, but I did pay the fee for the housing service :-)

Hi Delfina, I'm Florian, I've been admitted to the LLM in international tax law too. Sure, the Housing Office of the University can help to find an accommodation. Around a month ago, I asked them for a room with private facilities (single appartment) in any student residence in Leiden city and they told me that this kind of accommodation were no longer available in Leiden (only some remaining in the Hague), but that I could have a room with shared facilities instead in Leiden. I then chose to search on my own and found a room for the whole year in a shared appartment situated in the city center of Leiden (Lammermarkt) on the website housinganywhere.com. I think you will find accommodation quite easily. See you !

Hi Florian, thanks for that bit of information. I paid the housing fee and put in my preferences in my housing application (all my top three preferences were single apartments). However, I have still not heard back from them. Could you please let me know how you contacted the housing department?

Hi everyone I've made a Facebook group for this year's EIBL students. Not sure how helpful this will be since we're only about 3 weeks from the beginning of the semester, but for what it's worth, here's the link :)

See you all soon :)
