Hi guys !
I was wondering if any of you has been accepted in the European and International Business Law LLM in Leiden ? or even any other LLM.
It would be the perfect occasion to get to know each other and share our tips about living in Leiden !
Personally, I have never studied to the Netherland. However, the academic excellence and quality of living highly encouraged me to apply :-)

Hey I have applied to Leiden yesterday only for the same programme. How much time did they take to give you the decision?
Frankly Netherlands is great, I did summer school at Leiden.

Great, fingers crossed for you then ! I've applied in december, and I've received an offer 2 weeks later. February might be a busy period with applications, but in any case, let me know the outcome :-)

I got an offer 2 LLM 1. Europe and international business law. 2. Law and digital technologies. Still contemplating which one to join. Does any one have any idea what are the prospects of both the courses and which one is better off prom the placement perspective.

Hi everyone!
I am currently doing Advanced Masters on European and International Business Law in Leiden University.
Leiden is a very nice student city, small but cosy. You can stay in Leiden as well as The Hague, however, bear in mind that the transportation might be costly. You can ask for university's assistance for a place to stay also you can check 'Leiden Housing' group in Facebook.
The programme is mainly focused on European Law. Since this programme is 'advanced', it is quite demanding, you need to be prepared before the classes. Moreover, you need to finish your thesis at the beginning of the August, which means you also need to study for your thesis alongside the courses.
The classes are below mentioned:
The Legal Foundations of the European Union
The Internal Market and Harmonisation
Corporate and Financial Law
European and International Intellectual Property Law
WTO and Investment Law
European Competition Law
International Arbitration
I hope it helps! Good luck to you all!

It really did help, thank you !
May I ask you some advices regarding accommodation ? The University reached me out to help me find a place where to live. I read that finding a place in Leiden is quite difficult as the demand is high.
Would you recommend to use the service provided by the University ? I read some reviews where students would complain about the quality of the housing provided.
Thanks again for taking time to respond ! :-)

Hi Jadouya, have you asked the University to help with accommodation in your acceptance and did you have to submit the fees for the course?

Both seem amazing really.Law and digital technologies might be more oriented toward a precise field, whereas Business Law might be a little bit broader. But if you're truly passionate with new technologies, you should definitely go for it ! I wouldn't worry about placement perpective, I believe they both have as much opportunities

Hi there !
Yes, after reading a lot about Leiden as well as students' advices, I thought it was better to go through with the University accommodation service, as it really seems complicated to find a room (at least, if you're new in the Netherlands). I didn't submit the fee for the course yet, but I did pay the fee for the housing service :-)

In any case, even if you accept, I believe you are not bound by the acceptance letter, you can always withdraw anytime ?

Thanks! I still haven't sent in my acceptance. The admission statement I was sent was a 'conditional' one, based on the condition that I send my transcripts to the University. I sent that out last week and I know they have received it (based on the courier company's update.) Not sure whether I have to wait for an unconditional admission statement before I actually send in my acceptance.
Anyone else got a similar statement?
