I am wavering between an LLM in Human Rights and LLM in International Law. Both programs are at the same school, and both offer identical courses in the area of human rights. I intend to work specifically in the human rights field upon completion. However, I wonder whether the LLM degree title "Human Rights" might limit options for me should I eventually choose to teach (or in other ways I have not anticipated), or if it might actually open doors. Please share thoughts.

My two cents: in my opinion you worry WAY too much. Do what you believe it is best for your career and then just write your resume accordingly. All in all, it is an LLM and I see no reason why you should not consider yourself free to just write "LLM (University of Candyland)" should the circumstances (e.g. applying for a position in a law firm) require you to do so.
