Hi,

I graduated from an Indian law school in 2019. I am currently working as an in house attorney but I have always planned on doing an llm in order to gain expertise. I am currently looking at law schools in Australia for llms in international business law and international commercial laws. I was wondering what the job prospects were like after graduation. I have been reading varied articles and posts. However there has been nothing recently posts online. Hence, to whomever is out there please provide some clarity on whether international students will get jobs after graduation?

In my opinion, Australia is flooded with law grads. I spent a few years down there, it did not even attempt to practice law or get licensed there. The admission process is difficult, even for overseas qualified lawyers, and the market is competitive. I worked in regulatory in a bank, which was profitable. But I didn’t practice law. That’s my take on this. I was die. There from like 2012-2014 so things might have changed.
