Hi to everybody,
I searched around these boards, I didn't find any better section than this to post.
I'm an italian lawyer, and I wish to travel to Barbados and qualify as an attorney at law.
I contacted the Law School in Trinidad (you need to attend a 6 months course), where you have to obtain a LEC (Legal Education Certificate) in order to practice law in Barbados.
But since I'm from a Civil Law country (Italy), I need a certificate of equivalence of my law degree and training period, since the 6 months programme in Trinidad is open only for people with a common law education and training.
Is there anybody who passed from a civil law to a common law system?
Any help on how doing the whole procedure in the fastest way possible (and on which country in Europe provides the best and cheapest service) will be highly appreciated.
Thanks in advance, and good luck to everyone
