Hey!
When looking at the entry requirements I noticed that most law schools in UK/Irland ask for a 2:1. According to the Leicester website (http://www2.le.ac.uk/departments/law/postgraduate/llm-taught/applications-and-entry-requirements), the equivalent for french student is 12/20 in the "Maîtrise".
However, and that is my issue, very fewer students obtain honors in France than in the UK (http://85.92.87.111/~artcypr/comparability.html). Obtaining a 1st is a rarity, and a 2:1 is hard. So my question is does it matter where you've studied for your chances of admissions?

You should just call or email them. My hunch is that if they are used to accepting international students, they will be familiar with the international differences.
