class rank

Perhaps it is a stupid question, but is a class rank of top 20% decent if there are 500 students? I want to apply to some UK universities for an LLM, but I don't know whether it is high enough.

I don't see how the number of students would affect how good a 'top 20%' rank was.

It won't be good enough for Oxford and Cambridge (almost certainly), and might struggle at the top London unis but would most likely be more than enough for most others.

Thank you for your answer. Well, I'm applying for Queen Mary, Glasgow and Edinburgh. I'm hoping that it will be enough.
