I am beginning my research into European LLM programs, and I have a target date of Fall 2010 for my start date.

Does anyone have any information on the quality of the International and European Law LLM at Université Jean Moulin Lyon III?

as you might guess, I didn't attend this program neiter... ;-)
but if you are interested in doing a LL.M. in European and/or International Law, you might consider the program at Europa-Institut Saarbrücken, which is the one I attended last year. If you should have any questions about this one, I could probably answer you a lot of questions... :-)

I thought about doing a LLM as well but ...if we're talking about the LLM Lyon III, it's the 1st time it has been opened.

I have just completed the first semester of the LLM program in International and European Law at Jean Moulin this past fall. It was an excellent experience. In fact, I originally went there planning to only spend one semester there as a study abroad program, but now I have decided to return for the spring semester to complete the LLM.

The LLM class was very diverse and very collegial. Everybody - students and staff alike - were very friendly and very willing to help.

I am planning to apply the LLM International & European law at Lyon III for the intake September 2011.

If anyone is attending or has attended it, would you mind sharing your expriences with me please ?

How do you like this program ? Did you enjoy the lectures / classes ? Are the teachers good ?

Is it expensive to rent an apartment in Lyon ? What are the popular choice of accommodation ?

How is it like to live in Lyon ? I have been to Paris and I love it, but I don't know much about Lyon.

Lastly, does the school assist you to apply for the Carte de Sejour ? Is it a resident permit ? How many years is it valid ?

I have many questions to ask. Thanks a lot in advance for any comments / advices.

I don't know that much about that specific program but Lyon 3 is one of the top law schools in France.
I know people doing their french law degrees there and the level of education is really high ; and so is the difficulty of the degrees.
As I said I cannot give informations about the LLM but as the law school itself is great I assume it to be good ; definitively a good choice if you wanna study in France.
