Switzerland: Lausanne or Fribourg...

Thoughts? I'm looking for insights into the location, professors, courseload, etc. I'd appreciate anything you can share. Thanks!

Trust me for having tried both: Fribourg by far...although location (right next to the beautiful lake of Geneva) is great, that is probably all the good the lausanne law school has to offer..

Unless you enjoy paying money to people who refuse to accept responsibility for ANYTHING that goes wrong, who could not administer a dinner party (much less an LLM program) and who believe that they are doing you a favor by continuously changing course materials and locations, I would go to Lausanne.

From what I have gathered as information here and there, I recommend Fribourg without hesitation! Accomodation is much cheaper, the Law Schools participating in the program are really the best ones, and classes are small enough to allow students to exchange with professors. Networking is also an advantage. And the city is half-way between Geneva at one end, and Zurich at the other.

As for the job prospects, location (either Lausanne or Fribourg) will not help answer that question as far as Switzerland's job market is concerned.
