Required Experience for an LLM in Europe

genidi

Hi,

I am considering to apply for international human rights law and PIL programs in Europe next year. I graduated this year. I have no much experience, I just interned in a local NGO for one year. But I have a 3.70 GPA which is considered to be high in my country. I want to apply for Essex IHRL, Leiden PIL, Utrecth PIL, Lund IHRL programs. Do you think my lack of experience would affect my applications negatively?

Thank you a lot.

Not necessarily - unless the schools specifically ask for work experience, it shouldn't be a problem. Of course, they'll look closely at what you did in your internship, and how well you did in your studies (if you've published anything, had any extracurricular activities, etc.)
