Hi everybody,
I would like to know if one of you have studied the presessional course of english for 1 month in Leiden? what does it like? Is it difficult to approve the course? or it is better to retake the TOEFL to get 100?
I will appreciate your comments so much.
Kind regards,
Proof of funds for Leiden LLM application

Hi, I've been admitted to the presessional too.
I tried the IELTS again but I' m not confident about the results.
However I will have the outcome within 10 days and then I will know If I have or not to do the one month english presessional.
From a few meetings with my LLM responsible I've been told that it is 5 days per week, 5 Hours a day with homeworks to di at home (so it looks quite intensive) and it has a final exam.
She also told me that it is nearly impossible not to pass.

Thanks for your comment dear j.J.
It seems that your LLM responsible knows the pressesional course very close. That is why I wanted to know a bit more about the course.

Finally, I have received a rejection from Leiden Intl tax LLm program. I wish good luck to those who got admitted.

Dear Aleks,
Do not feel sad. Sometimes we need to wait a little more to reach things but the most important is not to give up. If we are patient and trust in God, our dreams certainly become true. Go ahead! You can try the next year. Even you can get a scholarship and better opportunities to fund your studies. With kind regards,

@Tax lawyer
hey, thanks so much for the comforting words,
I do not feel sad, on the contrary, I feel relieved. I actually got into a desired school in the USA way before Leiden decided. I would have been closer to my family if it were Leiden and that was one of the reasons to apply. Now it will be the US, so be it.

Hi
I know I'm joining the conversation a little late, but I need a little help. I received an offer on the 24th of May (two days back), and they said they'll send a proper letter by email within two weeks. How will that work if I have to sort out my visa by the 1st of June? I'm from India, btw.
Thanks
Sorry I didn't considerate those things because being an EU citizens I probably have a different procedure to follow since I don't need any VISA.
In the e-mail they said I have to weeks to send my acceptance to their offer. Basically I have to print and sign a document they sent and to send it back by e-mail even if it sounds rather strange to me since all the official translated copie a of my diplomas should be sent by post.
Anyway just to be sure, On monday I'm gonna call Mrs Teit by phone.
I've seen you have been admitted to a lot of courses in different University, and you also have a huge work experience. You should be proud.
If 84 has something to do with your year of birth I'll be happy to know that there should be someone having more or less the dame age of mine
Ah yeah the acceptance letter, yeah I already sent that to Mrs. Van Domburg and apparently its enough with your signature and scan copy (bit strange indeed as everything else is certified).
And yes, 84 is my year of birth, indeed it is cool to have someone from around the same age. Most applicants seem to be in their early or mid 20s. I'll pm you to keep in touch.

RCR8, thanks!
I did not even know they can defer admission. Do you know by any chance how does the admission deferral effect the scholarship applications?
Naturally do not know how the inside process goes on or if it hurts your chances, but if you defer you can also reapply for LExS, just that you cant use the portal but rather send your essay to the scholarship department directly.
Hi! I know you wrote this two years ago, but right now im considering defering the start of my studies in Leiden University to the next semester. Do you know if I can maintain my admitted status, or do I have to apply all over again?
Thanks!
