Potential Admission into the Paris Bar as a Non-EU National with an LLM from Luxembourg

Hello all,

I'm looking for information on potential admission into the Paris Bar, or perhaps admission into the remainder of the French bar.

I am a non EU citizen with an LLB from a University in Scotland, in the UK. Since graduating I have interned at the UNHCR and currently work as an in house legal assistant re matters of English Law at a private company in Turkey (I only mention this in case it helps with any answers you may have for me).

I am currently looking to apply to an LLM at the University of Luxembourg and want to know if I would qualify to sit the IEJ exam in France upon completion of such a degree, and if I could further progress down the route to admission into the Paris bar?

Additionally, I would be ever grateful if anybody could offer me insight into whether an LLM from Luxembourg would allow me to work in France after graduation as a "Young qualified graduate employee/employee of an innovative company (salarié qualifié/enterprise innovante) talent passport." I understand that the French Govt typically requires accreditation from the Conference des Grandes Ecoles, but the relevant information also says that "equivalents" to French Master's qualify as well. Does anybody know in particular if Luxembourg qualifies? Because it is not accredited by the CEG, whereas some universities outside of France are.

Any information I could get about any of the above would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for time,

I have an update, or rather an update on my question. What I am really trying to find out is if I can register for the CFRPA with an LLM from Luxembourg, and if there is a specific IEJ where I ought to register to be able to do this?

Thanks everybody,
any answers would be much appreciated

Would recommend to consult (directly) the Conseil national des barreaux - the national institution that represents all lawyers in France. Have a look at this page in particular: https://www.cnb.avocat.fr/en/accessing-legal-profession-france

Good luck
