Where would you cast your vote if you had to choose between:
a) International Law and International Organisations, specialisation Human Rights (Groningen)
b) Public International Law (Utrecht)
You might take into consideration criteria such as: law school reputation/quality, programme reputation/quality, scholars that teach in the programme, general appeal abroad (not only in the NL!) etc.
Is their such a big difference between the two in those terms? apart from the fact that a) puts weight on human rights of course...

I have been admitted by both universities for the same LLMs!
I think I'm going to opt for Utrecht as it is higly ranked among european universities as well as worldwide... (I looked at the shangai list of the world most ranking universities).
What is you final decision?

I'm doing a different programme at another university after all! But I've deferred my place in Groningen for next year. Didn't apply to Utrecht after all because I preferred the course structure in Groningen.

Hi there!
I've been offered a place on the Groningen LLM but due to passport issues am having to defer my entry till next year. I am however unsure though as to the process for deferring. The LLM admissions department says I only need to confirm that I wish to defer for the moment - then reapply on studielink next year with an accompanying email saying that my place has been deferred. What I'm stuck on is knowing whether that would essentially be me deferring my application - or if my place would be guaranteed?
Hope that makes sense and hope you can help - ASAP please ha!
