MIPLC vs LSE vs Queen Mary for IP

PennyS

Hi, I just got my admission to the LLM in Intellectual Property and Competition Law provided by MIPLC and I'm awaiting the response to my fee waiver application.
Do you think it would be worth it to take a loan and go for this course? Is it really worth it? I've also got offers from LSE-LLM and Queen Mary - IP LLM.

Hi there - it really depends where you want to work and what role you’re after. Any more detail? I went to LSE and on every metric LSE is better than QMUL - you can’t really compare the two. I don’t know much about MIPLC but I can ask my IP colleagues for their thoughts? That’s if you want to be a corporate IP lawyer!

Hello, thank you very much for your reply! It would be of great help if you could please ask your IP colleagues, thank you!

I am indeed thinking of becoming a corporate IP lawyer. Copyright law is what got me into IP law in the first place, but later on I developed a very strong interest in patent law as well. This is why I am thinking of focusing on one of these two fields.
Thank you once again.
