I wrote a mail to Ms. Pütsep. She is on holiday, and she'll be back 11 April. So I didn't get any answer to my questions (I asked her about my chances and admission data-how many student have applied, any how many of them will get in)

I know that it's frustrating to wait like this. We have to be patient. And I think that we should "preregistrate" for the housing even if we don't have an answer from the uni.

Preregister, but where????? :-)

I sent an e-mail to Olivia Wahlby and this is what she said:
"The admission process will be completed latest in May, 2007. We can not give any preliminary answers regarding the outcome.
You are, however, able to pre-register for housing, the mentor programme and swedish language programme via the webpage on the following link;
http://cfsrv10.cfadm.lu.se/apply/preregistration.htm
This registration is not in anyway a guarantee for admission at the Master Programme, it is only for ease the housing process once the nomination for the Programme is finished.
You will find more information regarding all above on;
http://www.lu.se/o.o.i.s/607 "

Yeah, I registered too, now we just have to keep waiting.
I hope we all get in so we can have a little LLMGuide meeting when we get there.

Hy everyone!
I am interested in the Masters Program as well, but I have no clue if you need a lot of prior knowledge in the area of law in order to apply. Also, since I have my BA in social sciences, would it make sense to actually specialize in Human Rights?
What i mean is, since I don't have a BA in business or else, what kind of job opportunities would I have? I checked out the UN websites and it seems it is not very easy to get in these types of organizations.
Oh, and one more question ...I have done my BA in the US, but i am from Europe myself. Do I have to pay tuition or how does that work? Thanks so much everyone!

I just wanted to tell you that I received an email this morning telling me I had been accepted to the Master of European Business Law (LL.M) for 2007/08. The email asked that I reply and give an answer within 7 days in order to send me an official letter of acceptace. Anyhow, just wanted to let you know since the University mentionned that our acceptance wouldn't be confirmed until May.

Hi everyone,
Thank you for all the congrats! However, I am still debating whether to attend Lund or Stockholm...We'll see!
Anyhow Vane1977, as for your question: "Hi aude07, congratulatios!! only a question, when did you send your application?"
- I sent all my documentation pretty early (i.e. everything was received before the Feb.1st deadline)
And Satine, do not worry about not having received an answer for them. Many factors can influence when you get a response; ex. choice of programme, when they received your documentation, etc. If Lund is anything like Stockholm University, they might have a pre-selection for some students and this would probably explain why I only have 7 days to give them an answer as to whether or not I will attend the programme. After this pre-selection, they will be sending admission email to the rest of the applicants.
Best of luck to all of you! Cheers.

Hello everyone!
I called Mrs. Putsep today because I am having some trouble with the documents in my application. It seems my TOEFL scores are lost, it's been a long time since I took the exam and they never got them at the Law faculty.
Anyway, what I wanted to share with all of you is that I asked Mrs. Putsep about the admission process and she told me they haven't made a decision on any of the applicants for the Human Rights programmes yet. They will start looking at all the applications this week. She said they receive about 400 applications every year (this is for the three programs in Human Rights: General, IT and Labour), and in the General Human Rights programme, which is the one I am applying to, they accept about 30 students.
So I wish you the best of luck with your applications and I hope someone finds my TOEFL scores because it is already too late to ask for new ones.

As I know, You can order a score report, but it takes time. But hopefully they will understand it in Lund!

Armando, thanks for sharing this information with us. As to ur TOEFL score, don't give up. I noticed that the administration of the Uni is slow. If you don't insist, they won't be able to find it.
I had to call several departments of the Uni before finding my TOEFL score result. I'm sure they have yours as well, just keep calling them!

one more question Armando: how did You realize, the yout TOEFL scores are lost? Did Ms Putsep draw your attention? Becuase, it could happen, that there is a problem with my documents, and I don't know about it. Anyhow, I send them a paper based score report (TOEFL).
