LSE or College of Europe?

I have to make this decision in the near future and I still haven't gotten very far. Intuitively, I'd go to Bruges as my main interest is European Law, as I can live with the prospect of finding a job in Brussels, and as I like the bilingual aspect. On the other hand, I'm aware of the fact that LSE may look slightly more impressive on CV, is in a more interesting city and is also quite good for European Law. Quite a lot of people also seem to recommend LSE, which is why I'm also considering deferring LSE for a year.

Are there any people who did either or both of these programmes who could tell me a bit about them? As for Bruges for example I'm interested in how often Professors actually come around.

I'd definitely say Bruges unless you especially want the excitement of living in London. If you want to study European law, Bruges is the place to be.

yeah, thats what I thought. But what about the general reputation of the College and the teaching methods (ie flying faculty)? Also what is the CoE's reputation in academic circles, say you want to undertake a PhD after your LLM?

i would much rather the LSE myself, but it entirely depends on your professional/academic ambitions. horses for courses. in any case you've got two great options..
