LLM in Migration Law

Behemot

Hello everyone,
I have just obtained my full degree in Law at the University of Trento (laurea magistrale in giurisprudenza). Now, I would like to specialize in migration law and policy, in particular at the international and EU level.
Can you recommend any LLM in Europe which deals with this subject? Or would you suggest to apply for a more comprehensive LLM in EU law studies/public international law/human rights? If so, which one?
As you can see, I am very confused at the moment, so any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance,

Alex

Hello

Maybe you can check University of Kent, Brussels Campus? They have few LLM programs that you can choose from. I'm hoping to do my LLM in Spetember 2013, I've read good things about the Univeristy but still seeking more information about the life and experience in Belgium.

Hope that helps
Good luck

Hi Alex

Given that you want to specialise in Migration law, I would suggest you to apply for the University of Kent's Combined title LLM. In this way you can combine two specialisms.
For example, I am interested in the protection of the fundamental rights of the persons belonging to ethnic minorities both at national, EU and international levels. This is why I decided to opt for the Combined title LLM by majoring in European Law and I chose my minor to be Public International Law. This particular LLM gives you flexibility! In addition to that, the tuition fee at Kent (UK) is considerably reasonable when compared to other universities. Recently the web page announced that tuition fees for the taught LLM during the academic 2013/2014 year will be £4950.

I have unconditional offers both for the University of Kent and the University of Edinburgh. But I am thinking to go to Canterbury in September 2013.

Best wishes,
Mehmed
