LLM in Mediation in Germany or Spain

medi

Hello everybody, I have already completed my law studies and hold a German licence (2. Staatsexamen). I am looking for an LLM program in Mediation/ dispute resolution in either Germany or in Spain. If it is a first or second tier University is not that important to me. I am rather looking for an in depth mediation program that I can use as an additional qualification.

Hello medi,
An LL.M. in Mediation and Dispute Resolution is offered by the following Universities in Germany:

Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin offers a one year FT Graduate Program on International Dispute Resolution (IDR).

Europa-Universität Viadrina Frankfurt (Oder) offers a Master of Arts (MA) in Mediation. This program takes one and a half year or if yu wish to prolong it, you may pursue it in two years. The latter one includes distance learning and presence at seminars in Berlin and Frankfurt Oder.

Hello medi, I am afraid there is no English LLM program in Mediation and Dispute Resolution in Spain. Though there are a few in Spanish such as Máster en Mediación, Negociación y Resolución de Conflictos de la Universidad Carlos III de Madrid and el máster de Mediación en Conflictos at Universitat de Barcelona and Máster propio en Mediación y gestión de Conflictos at Complutense de Mádrid and many more. Depends really how good your Spanish is?

Hello jamon, What a shame that there is no English speaking LLM program in mediation. I do speak a bit of Spanish but I believe it will not be sufficient for LLM studies. Aditionally, I assume an English speaking program will be of more value to me in terms of career development/ dispute resolution. Thanks so much for your effort!!
