Hi there I'm thinking about doing a masters in EU law in Leiden. The normal LLM looks good and is quite cheap. However, there is an advanced masters which is 5 times more expensive. Which is better? Do you think that an LLM from a uni like Leiden will be appreciated by the big law firms based in London (Clifford Chance etc)?
Many thanks!!

Hi Im on the LLM(Adv) in European Business law and I have some friends on the normal LLM in EU law. Personally Id have to recommend the LLM(Adv) it may be way more expensive but it is much, much better. We are taught by the best professors too- something which is not always the case with the normal LLM.
As regards Clifford Chance, a friend on the normal EU LLM already has a TC with Clifford Chance so I dont think the difference between the advanced and standard LLMs will be noticed much there. I have to say though that the uni is fantastic and you really will learn a lot from being at the heart of Europe.
If you really want to specialise in EU law Id check out the College of Europe in Bruges too
