LLM in IP from Turin Univ

Hi,

Last year some applicants that were notified much later than others because they were on the waitlist, etc.

The website will say if selected applicants have been notified.
Most likely, those not notified where not selected.

I am not in Turin, and I am not helping locate any names.

I have been put in the standby list, as well.

valbj, do you have any idea of how many selected applicants give up, and how many waitlisted applicants are called? I mean, can you estimate what are our chances?

I strongly believe that we should atleast email to course coordinator of ILO that whether our application is off the board or still we should wait for some more time.

I mailed in WIPO about my concern. But unfortunately i didnt get any response.

I had called the ILO and they told me that the procedures through ILO and WIPO were separate. Since I had not applied through ILO they did not have any happy news for me.

I mailed WIPO as well and they told me the procedure of selection is still underway.

I feel that WIPO should reply to one and all, selected nonselected candidates. This may take them a while but if will sure clear some confusions.

Obviously, mohsinalmighty. I've received last monday an e-mail from ITC ILO saying I had been put on it.

You might want to know that I have applied directly through the University of Turin.

BTW you are from which country?

I am brazilian.

A few people got the scholarship, and the criteria were later mentioned to us on a letter, but I am not sure I could share such information. Sorry.

Anyway, there is some information about the matter scattered in the WIPO website and the course brochure.

I could tell you that it seems that the WIPO scholarships are distributed among WIPO applicants.

I wish to apply for the 2012 version of the programme. Anyone kindly answer my query.

Whether the applicant can submit his letters of recommendations with the application and the other documents or the recommenders have to send the recommendations to the Turin University?

Basically, I wish to submit a letter of recommendation by an IP attorney under whom I interned and a High Court Judge.

In my opinion, it would be very appropriate, as this LL. M. has a very strong professional scope.

But I am not on the board, and I do not know for certain how do they value each kind of letter. What I can tell you is that they are very open-minded, and anything you send should be considered.

My advice is to relax and send whatever you judge best in your case.

And to answer your question, two of my letters were from fellow attorneys with whom I used to work (and who, nevertheless, had also been my professors).
