Hey there!!
I am also doing EU Law next September in Leiden. I am from Cyprus. Also a beneficiary of the penultimate enlargement process which means lower fees :). Have you received any schedule yet via email ? Or is it just through the website for prospective students ?
C ya soon

hello Pancy!!!
it's so nice to meet you here!!

Actually, it's just a very general schedule which includes only the subjects that will be tought and dates of exam sessions and hollidays:) As I understood we;ll have two wks (starting the 17th of december) for Xmas and that's about it:(
So, how abt you. Are you waiting for upcoming year? I can't wait to see my new groupmates and professors!!
btw, where are you staying? im in horizon house, room 4.
and I still have several questions abt the insurance, but i think it'll be enough for this time:)))
Have a good day!!

Well I received the email as well and it is quite disenheartening finding out that we will only have two weeks. Anyway I hope that Leiden will be so fun that we will need no holidays hehe. I managed to rent a place from the private market. It is a studio in Breestrat, for the price of 650 euro. Leiden is really expensive as far as rent is concerned. I applied for a policy from lippmann since companies in my country do not offer international policies. In the predeparture website a couple of companies' websites are mentioned. My problem is the municipal registry thing. No one in Cyprus seems to have used it or heard of it before. I sent numerous emails to the international office but I receive no reply!
Hope you enjoy the rest of your holiday :)
Take care

Hi Panos,
if, by any chance, there wouldn't be any fun in Leiden, we will arrange it:)))
Wow, your appartment is realy expensive!
The same situation with the insurance is in Lithuania, so I also took the IPS secondary:)
I think I have good news for you with the municipal registry- you don't need it. One person who will be studying PIL in Leiden called and asked and they said they are doing away with it since a lot of students have problems, so you can trust me- you don't need it anymore!
So have you graduated from your university this year? I did. It's some Lithuanian law university, not very well known:)
Let's keep in touch!

And what kind of situation exactly are you talking about? As far as I know, some lithuanian companies do offer medical/liability insurance abroad, costs like ~350 euros a year. Well?
