Does anyone have insight into the respective merits of the LLM by research in History and Philosophy of Law and the straight LLM by research? My research agenda focuses on aspects of common law history. Thanks in advance for any insight. I may have to make a decision soon.

I'd say that an LLM by Research flows more easily into a PhD, but I haven't actually studied either. Which one did you decide on in the end? I'll probably be on the LLM by Research programme.
