LLM at Institute of Law and Finance, Frankfurt

I was planning to apply for the LLM Finance course at ILF for the next academic year (2020 - 2021). I had a look at their website and was pretty impressed with the courses and the internship placements. I wanted to get an opinion from someone who has studied at the institute/knows more about it. Can someone please give me some more details regarding the institute, particularly with respect to faculty and teaching, courses, internships and placements, etc?

Hi, I also applied to the LLM Finance at ILF. I already received offers from UK uni, which are better ranked than the ILF program on the paper. However, the range and interdisciplinary of the courses are indeed impressive, without even mentioning the internship.

The choice is very difficult. If someone may be kind enough to provide pros and cons, that would be very helpful.

Hi. Just applied to the LLM Finance program too. Does anyone here knows what counts most for the admission commitee? My GPA is not that expressive, but I took part in several strategic M&A deals over the last few years and want to know if this is taken into consideration as well.

Does anyone have any tips on what to do to accepted and what the chances of getting accepted is like? I have over 3 years of experience in commercial law and I did banking and finance as a module in my undergraduate program.

As far as I know, work experience is highly taken into consideration too. Have you submitted your application to ILF?

I got accepted to be part of the program in 20/21. I didn't have a lot of working experience as I just graduated at the time I was applying for the program but I did have above average academic accomplishments so that probably made up for it. Honestly, I would say it really is a combination of both that they are taking into consideration. :-) Just go for it!

Hit me up if you've got any questions!
