Dear Rafael,
My name is Silvia and I am currently attending the LL.M. in International Trade and Business Law at Católica.
This is the first year of the program and we have just finished the first of its three terms, but maybe I could help you with my experience so far.
What would you like to know?

Rafael,
Lisbon's LLM is a practice oriented and innovative program, with a clear Anglo-American character. It accepts only a small number of applicants and preference is given to candidates with a strong academic and professional CV.

Paulo,
Thanks for those information.
I am still concerning about to apply for it.
In reality, I think Lisbon wonderful. Católica has a great name in Law, specially for a brazilian.
Furthermore, I am looking for a LL.M with the above mentioned characters. So this course really corresponds to my expectations.
A final question: What is a strong academic and professional CV for the Católica Board?
Thanks one more time

Rafael Lima

Dear Silvia,
I will appreciate if you tell me just a little about the program, subjects in study, or any other information that may encourage me to apply for the LL.M. in International Trade and Business Law at Católica.
Besides that, I will appreciate if you make a personal judgment about your experiences until now.
A final question: How hard is to get an opportunity to attend this LL.M.?
Many thanks
Rafael Lima
P.S: I am brazilian and if you would like to speak in Portuguese it will be nice.

"What is a strong academic and professional CV for the Católica Board?"
I would say:
Academic CV: degrees: grades; schools of origin; fields of study and research.
Professional CV: type of professional experience; in which organizations; duration; recommendation by employers.

Prezado Rafael, tudo bem? Obrigado. Fabio Rosa

Dear all,
My name is Denison Caldeiron. I am a Brazilian citizen and I attended Católica's LL.M. in 2009 after a huge research among LL.M. programs in Europe and USA. The good thing is...I am sure I took the right decision.
The program is amazing (civil and common laws) and the professors are outstanding.
After my LL.M. degree I had a chance to work in a first tier law firm in Lisbon as International Consultant, which gave me a great experience and helped me to get a position as International Consultant at Jones Day in Frankfurt, Germany.
I am currently working as a lawyer at Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek in Frankfurt in association with the Brazilian law firm Veirano Advogados. I am part of the M&A department and the Brazilian Desk.
I am sure that this was only possible due to the excelent LL.M. program I took at Católica.
If you need any further questions on this matter, please let me know!
All the best,
Denison

Dear Denison,
I am thinking of applying to the LLM in catolica for 2019/2020!
Was it hard to get the internship in Portugal? You worked during the LLM? I will love to have the experience of working in a law firm in Portugal/ Europe!
I am half Brazilian/ half Ecuadorian and I studied in a American school and in a Liberal Arts College, now I work in a Latin American law firm in Miami and Ecuador office and I coordinate Brazilian clients that want legal services in the US.
I think the LLM will be a perfect match for me, but I am worried about the ranking and the small class size?
Looking forward to your kind response.
