If it is worth to do LLM

Siwek

LLM is an one year course which is recommended for graduates of law and it is an opportunity to develop legal skills as logical reasoning or negotiation skills and there are courses which are in different languages but mostly in English or German or French. These courses contain the specialization as well as European law or medical law and it is a chance to be good at the legal field.I am from Poland which is a rich country where there are many nice people and there are strong academic traditions for example Jagiellonian University or at Wroclaw University. In Warsaw there is a famous Burgian College called as Natolin Centre. In Europe it is one of the best European programms. If you know Polish you can do postgraduate courses in particular field of law and even each department of law offers such courses. Warsaw University offers such courses and after the course you can specialize in the particular law. In Poland most legal schools conduct special schools for foregn law like the Bitish Centre at Warsaw University or American School of Law such courses in English and they cost about 500 Euros per year. In addition to that there are schools of foreign law in other languages like French or German or Spanish. If you have any question please write arspoland@wp.pl

Hi Siwek

I do not doubt one second that Polish Universities offer great quality courses but I think that a LLM abroad could however make sense in at least four situations

1) if you want to work abroad because potential foreign employers may not know all of the Polish Universities you mention

2) if you want to work for a US/English law firm in poland

3) if you want to do international law in Poland or abroad

4) if you simply would like to broaden your horizons by learning about another system of law/culture.

But it is true that it costs a little bit more than 500 euros a year. After it is a matter of personal choice and depends on what's possible.
