On a different note, does anyone know where they plan on living once in Geneva? Assuming most of you don't already live there?
The costs are sky high and I have no clue where to start...

Tbh, I think that they do not send all offers at once... I applied for Master in Transitional Justice, and the application timeline says the following:
With Scholarship: Selection and waiting list from March 2019
Without Scholarship: Selection and waiting list from April 2019
I have not received anything yet :(

Hey Vraffaeli, I’m in the same boat with housing. I emailed the admissions office yesterday and they said they’ll send around information regarding student housing to everyone once the list of students is complete. Dates wise, orientation week for the Academy will be from Sep 9-13 in the fall.
@charlielim thanks for the link, that will actually b super helpful.
This is getting exciting - congratulations to all with offers! Should we create a Facebook Group for admitted students?

Hey Aaron!!! I also emailed last week and got the same reply. I've been looking into various options and contacting anyone I know who has any experience living in Geneva. I've also emailed the Citè Universitaire, because it seems like the cheapest option but they were not particularly clear in their replies. Apparently if I got a place I wouldn't find out until June anyway, which sounds a bit risky...
About the Facebook group, that is probably a good idea. This is my profile if you want to start a group https://www.facebook.com/virginia.raffaeli.1

You're welcome. I hope to see you all in Geneva!
You too, bud.
For all students who are accepting offers, we've created a Facebook Group to start planning and complaining about the cost of housing. Looking forward to meeting you!

Hi all, I just had a question about the applications... I applied to the IHL and HR masters but doubt i'll get in. Does anyone know if they provide reasons for not accepting you if they reject you?

No, they don't usually do so. The reasons stated in the rejection letter/email are quite formal.

Is it safe to assume that there's still hope until receipt of rejection letters? What I mean is, will they notify all applicants regardless of result?
Yes. They're supposed to finish sending out acceptances and rejections by the end of April I think. And apparently they also put people on waiting lists as well and notify you of that

Hi All, has anyone been accepted for the partial scholarship yet? I can see a number of people have been for the full scholarship but nothing for the partial scholarships...

Thanks!

Ok thanks - there are applicants from other previous forums that have been accepted quite late into March and April so hopefully they are still sending offers out, which stream are you applying through?

Hi Guys,
I can understand the situ and the burden of waiting for the acceptances by the Academy. I applied through the partial scholarship track. Having noticed that the Academy has sent an offer I inquired that whether they send all offers at once. Academy replied me via email and this is what I received.
We thank you for your message as well as your interest in our LLM in International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights programme.
We have already started the process of application however don't send all the letters together. You can have an answer until the end of the month of May.
Best regards,
The Geneva Academy
Aa per the above quoted reply we have further time to keep in touch.
Thanks and all the best
