European law / International law LLMs in Scandinavia

ilse

Hey everyone! I'll have completed my law degree by next June and I have to start applying for my masters after this Summer. I was wondering what unis offer the best European law and / or International law LLMs in Scandinavia (I've heard great things from Lund but that's about it)!

I lived in Copenhagen when I was younger and loved it, hence my specific interest in Scandinavia.

Thanks for your help.

Would you like to do a LLM in International Law (in general) or specific (e.g. Public International Law, International Trade Law, etc)?

First of all I'm still undecided about whether I want to concentrate on EU law specifically or in International law (as far as EU law goes there are two programmes I really like at the College of Europe in Bruges - it's my number 1 option - but in the probable event that I don't get in I've been looking into broader LLMs on International Law or plan B options on EU law).

For example, I've found an interesting LLM that combines both UE and International law at the Erasmus University in Rotterdam (LL.M in International and European Public Law).

So answering your question I'd be interested in any International Law LLMs in general as well as specific ones (e.g. Public International Law) and also LLMs in EU law (general ones).

thanks again and sorry for the mix-up! As you can see I'm just beginning my LL.M search and I just wanted to know what interesting options there were in Scandinavia.

For what I've seen, University of Oslo is very prestigious and well know fot its LLM in Public International Law (1 1/2 year). The Univeristy of Helsinki is offering a new LLM in International Law where you can chose a track between International Business Law and Public International Law (2 years) that leads to the diploma of Master of International and Comparative Law. At Stockholm University there are two LLM that could interest you: one in EU Law (1 year) and another one in International Commercial Arbitration Law (1 year).

All of these Masters are in English, and they are great universities and great countries to live in (this one you should know better than me :P)

Hope this helped!
