Dear Anette,
I have sent my application to erasmus yesterday. When can I expect any reply from the admission committee considering the holiday season is upon us.
About the admission policy, is it on a rolling basis? Or you set a period when all decision will be given to the applicants?
Regards,
Erasmus LLM, Bussiness Corporate and Maritime Law

Hi Maria, I'm Giampaolo from Rome. I've also been admitted to the bcml ll.m. As far as I know about the accomodation procedure, the University will give you ( at least they did it with me) the link to the "Stadswonen". Anyway, just write to them (I guess to Mr van der Schee).
By the way, which specialisation did u choose?I chosed Corporate...

No, I'm not, I've already done the IELTS exam in January.
About the house, I've just done the initial registration but
I still have to complete the procedure. The University suggested me to wait until June, since there're no rooms available right now (maybe because the 2008\2009 courses aren't finished yet).
Don't worry about the IELTS...it's not so hard, but I suggest you to buy some preparations books, in order to find tips to pass it better.
If am not wrong, we should have the business law courses in common, so we will definitely meet.
By the way, my complete name is Giampaolo Cottani..What's yours?Perhaps we could meet on Facebook to share infos.
Bye

Dear Anette,
Does the School of Law assist students (BCML graduates) to find jobs in Europe? Do you have an idea where do your graduates go or where are they now? I am thinking about taking the BCML programme and to take the maritime law specialisation. I am just wondering if the school will help me find a job.
Regards,
SeaPrincess

Dear Sea Princess,
Erasmus University Rotterdam organises the following career events that enable you to find challenging interships and/or future employment.
* Erasmus recruitment day
* EFR business week
* Banking cycle
* "Masterweek" (recruitment event for law students)
Many times, professors/lectures can also advise or help students in this matter. Many of our students return to their home countries to put in practice what they have learned in Rotterdam, others stay in Rotterdam (we have one of the largest ports in the world and many multinationals have their headquarters in Rotterdam). They work as consultants, in advisory positions to governments, legal departments of shipping companies, port authorities and of course in the field of maritime law litigation and arbitration. After your graduation you may stay in the netherlands for one more year to look for a job.
Kind regards,
Anette

Hi,
Your diploma will mention Business, Corporate and Maritime Law. If you decide to specialise in either business transactions, corporate law or maritime law, this will be mentioned as well. However, many students also choose the general programme (meaning that they follow subjects from all of these specialisations).
Kind regards,
Anette

Do you know how much time does it takes for admission board to make a decision about application? I have already applied for the program and wonder when I get answer about the outcome of my application :)

Hello,
Usually within 2-3 weeks, however, at this moment we receive many applications, so it might take a little longer.
Good luck!

Dear el,
Congratulations on being admitted! For more information on housing options you may check: http://www.eur.nl/english/prospective/master/howtoprepare/housing/. You will receive more information about this from the ll.m. office. Another option is looking for housing outside Rotterdam. We have a very good public transportation system and housing in the suburbs is usually much cheaper. You can also look for other students admitted to the programme and look for a place together.
Good luck!
