Turchik, all the people I heard of who went to CEU came back to their home country (Russia). I don't think it's worth the risk in your situation. CEU is in Hungary and I don't think it's possible to get a job there without any knowledge of the local language. I'm not sure a degree from CEU would be marketable outside Hungary, since people with LLMs from more prestigious schools have trouble finding a job abroad, even if they have local admission, for example, an LLM from a US school + NY bar.
So my advice would be to wait till u can go on an LLM for free (Muskie scholarship, or similar)

I have applied to CEU myself, however my application was rejected (last year I advanced to semifinal).
When you submited application to CEU you should have indicated that you need a scholarship or a tuition waiver.
have you done so?

hi legaldocs,
Yes I did. They offered a full tutiotion waiver for me, the issue is that I have not enough funds for this. In addition recently I got a very good job in very respectable organization in myy own country
that's why I am in a big confusion

Hi Turchik, Why u dont try Muskie scholarship (because i know that Muskie is available in Unit of Independant Countries(SNG in russian)
What about CEU- really, if u speak about CEU which in Hungary, i dont think that it is a good idea, because CEU is not the best choice, and dont forget that u must pay for that education.(if u dont have enough funds, try Muskie--- but if u r not able to pass succesfully programms like Muscie, i think u can wait till next year)
Ok, lets imagine that u cant wait until next year to try another university, u cant pass Muskie etc.---i am sure that CEU is acceptable too.
Thats all, u have to realize and "count" everything, then take desicion.(i hope that our opinion (board members) can truly help u. Regards.

I have a friend who got a full tuition waiver last year from CEU.
He told me that he spent 8 thousand USD on living expenses in Budapest.
Thats not very expensive for a LLM program.
By the way, can you ask you employer for a loan? Promise him to work at his organization when you return home.
Muskie is unreliable, `cause US decreased its budget recently.
I applied 4 times to it (was a semifinalist 2 times), but couldnt win the award.
I think you`d try LLM in CEU.

Dear KEM and Legaldocs,
Again thank you very much for your kind support. You see the opinion is vary significantly there are many pluses ans negatives going to CEU.
I'll tink I'll decide not to go and try to be accepted for the other universities next year.
Thank you very much to you all for your support

Dear all,
does anyone know anything about the CEU International Business Law Programme? I read several comments on it on this forum, but there is too scarce a information in order to make a decision. I have a rather good job within the central bank of my country, but I've been always considering doing an LLM. Please please please help...
