I just checked my account too and the results of the final selection round appear to be out!
I trust that this will bring better news in that more people will get admitted to the courses they had applied for. I wish everyone all the best and look forward to meeting you all in Sweden, not just Lund.
Any word on SI scholarships anyone?
Admission to sweden-lund.

Hi
Just got the result, and was not accepted/admitted :'-(
I am still in the reserves (on the waiting list). After speaking with the "Admissions Service" I have learned:
1. That a number of people ahead of me needs to actively decline their admittance.
2. To actively decline admittance means to call the University and tell them that you'll not be attending anyways. ( I wonder how many will actually make a long-distance phone-call to that)
3. That I can pursue my chances by keep visiting the studera.nu website - for weeks or maybe even a month...
I had actually really hoped that I would have closure today - positive or negative... Now I will have to re-visit the studera.nu website for a month or so, while I speculate how many days it will take to get residence/study/VISA.

Please do not despair. I think you might know your fate much sooner than the month long wait that you anticipate. From the look of things, the next big day is June 5 after which no scholarship notifications will be issued. I know that many people are waiting for this magic date to decide whether they will take up their places or not.
Not many can afford life in Europe and certainly not for 2 years so after June 5 many will decline their places and this puts you in a very advantageous position given your 'reserve' status.
Good luck! Do keep a positive view of things as time heads for June 5 fast.

Thanks for your words of advice Genep - I really appreciate it!
Here is one quote that I revisit these days:
Please give me the courage to change the things I can change
The serenity to accept the things I cannot change
And the Wisdom to know the difference.

Very good!
I cannot remember where I first came across that quote but it is one that I have lived my life by every single day of my life.
I wish you the very best!

Hey guys,
does that mean those on reserve/ waiting list ... still may have a remote chance of being accepted after
5th June??

I think so.
There should still be a chance should some people drop out after June 5. This is why they say that such people may be contacted even by telephone!

Your words are so encouraging. I am on the waiting list. I know that some people won't get the scholarship and may drop out. I just up they will call and let the school know about their decision.

I wish you the best pal. Being on the waiting list is just a few steps from the real thing and confirms your qualification for admission but for the fact that there are many applicants something over which we all do not have control.
I think that the schools have ways of telling which people are not seriously considering to take their places even if they do not actively communicate it. For example, the pre-registration exercise in Lund could be used to determine who the serious students are.
Again, ever since the first notifications went out, the course administrator is in constant touch with the students and appears to be sending group emails. Replies of lack of replies to such emails could also be used.
It will soon be crystal clear.

The deadline to submit documents was February 15, 2008. Your supporting documentation arrived after this
deadline. DYour application will therefore be considered as a late application in the second selection round.
However, places are subject to availability and there is no guarantee that late applications will be considered at
all.
i got this email by 8th may and they said you chose fro second selection round
and by 29th i got this mail you send your docment at late time
my question is when they say you chose for second selection round it means verification of my document is done.............and there is no problem for verification and they did the verification
because its written on the web site if you verification or document dose not sufficent there is DELET MARK on your applicaton
just let me know beacuse i want to know may be there is some problem for verification
if i passed first selection and get in the second round it means my univeristy is approved with them

Hi guys,
I got admitted to Halmstad University in business school. It was my second priority and I was reserve 1. I could not get accepted to Lund(which was my 1st prio.), although I was reserve 1 on that one, too.
I am so happy and I am on preparation to go.
I would like to say thanks to those who encouraged me during the waiting process, congrats to those admitted and wish the best for all.

Hi All,
Just a friendly request: please don't accept a place at the university if you know full well that you don't want it or you have decided on other options (those accepted already of course). I just phoned the student desk to ask how many international students they accept in each course and it would seem that no one but the University itself knows...does anyone know by any chance. The anxiety is literally killing me...haai! Why oh why don't they accept more students...?

Hello there. The LL.M programme in maritime law for 2007 has about 15 people in it.

Hello everyone! I'm from Venezuela and I also applied to the LLM in International Human Rights Law. I really woudl like to know when is Lund going to issue its decisions.
I know they will do it through studera, but I think it's kinda weird that I haven't heard about my application since January!!!
Have you guys heard about a possible issuing date? I wrote to Lund and they told me 1st week of May, which is still far!
Anyway, good luck to everyone!

Hi everybody!
My status also says "Preparation for selection/selection running" and I don't know what to think of it. Is it a good sign (they haven't rejected me yet) or a bad sign (they haven't admitted me yet)?
Btw, I applied for the Master in linguistics. Anybody here with the same program?
