I have a LLB degree from the University of KwaZulu-Natal in South Africa. I served two years articles and qualified as an attorney. I then did a years pupilage and was admitted as an advocate. This is my 4th year in practice as an advocate. I am wanting to relocate to the US, more specifically Florida or New York and obtain employment. I have been advised by a recruiter in NY that instead of writing the bar exam, I have more chance of obtaining employment if I obtain an LLM degree. Do you agree with this or would writing the bar exam in NY suffice? If I need to obtain an LLM, do I have to study in the US or can I study online from here in SA? Any help or guidance would be appreciated
